Larissa de Freitas Lyth is currently completing her MA dissertation titled ‘The regulation of the sin of fornication in Burchard of Worms’ Corrector sive medicus in the 11th century’ at the Universidade Federal do Paraná, Brazil. Her research focuses on how penance was used to regulate sexual practices in 11th century Germany, as well as superstitions and magic. She is a member of NEMED – Núcleo de Estudos Mediterrânicos and lives, teaches, and bakes cakes in Curitiba, Brazil.
